Welcome to Onimisera. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Onimisera's platform, website, and services (collectively, "the Service"). By creating an account or using Onimisera in any way, you agree to these Terms in full.

We've written these Terms in plain language — not legalese — because we want you to actually read and understand them.

Who We Are

Onimisera is an AI-powered learning platform that helps students and self-learners understand, practice, and master any subject. Our tools include content uploads, AI-generated summaries and explanations, practice questions, flashcards, and a personalized study dashboard.

Who Can Use Onimisera

You can use Onimisera if:

  • You are at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your country)
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
  • You provide accurate information during registration

If you are under 18, you confirm that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.

We reserve the right to refuse access or terminate accounts that don't meet these conditions.

Your Account

3.1 Registration

To access most features, you'll need to create an account using your email address and a password. You may also be asked to provide your university, course/department, and academic level so we can personalize your experience.

3.2 Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your login credentials secure
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access

Don't share your account. Don't create multiple accounts to bypass restrictions. One person, one account.

3.3 Accurate Information

You agree to provide truthful, current information when registering and to keep your profile up to date.

What You Can Do on Onimisera

With a valid account, you may:

  • Upload learning materials (PDFs, DOCX, images, Markdown files) for personal study
  • Access AI-generated summaries, explanations, and practice questions
  • Use the flashcard system and AI tutor for learning
  • Track your progress and use study recommendations
  • Access cached content offline via our Progressive Web App (PWA)

What You Cannot Do

You agree not to:

  • Upload content that infringes on someone else's copyright, patent, trademark, or other intellectual property rights
  • Upload unlawful, obscene, defamatory, or harmful content
  • Use the platform to cheat, plagiarize, or commit academic dishonesty
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or replicate our AI systems or platform
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from Onimisera without our written consent
  • Use automated bots or scripts to access or interact with the Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our systems
  • Interfere with the performance or availability of the Service for other users
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to Onimisera

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination.

Content You Upload

6.1 Your Ownership

You retain ownership of any content you upload to Onimisera ("User Content"). We don't claim ownership over your lecture notes, textbooks, or study materials.

6.2 License to Us

By uploading content, you grant Onimisera a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and use that content solely to provide the Service to you.

We do not use your uploaded content to train AI models or sell it to third parties.

6.3 Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content you upload. You confirm that:

  • You have the right to upload and use the material
  • Your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights
  • Your content is not harmful, misleading, or deceptive

AI-Generated Content

Please understand:

  • AI outputs may not always be accurate. Our AI is designed to assist learning, not replace verified academic sources.
  • You should cross-check important information with your course materials, textbooks, or instructors.
  • AI-generated content is provided for educational assistance only — not as professional advice.
  • We are continuously improving accuracy, but we make no guarantee that every output is error-free.

Use your judgment. Think critically. That's what learning is about.

Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Platform

All technology, design, code, branding, and original content on Onimisera is owned by Onimisera and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

8.2 What You Cannot Copy

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without our prior written permission.

Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. How we collect, use, and protect your data is explained in our Privacy Policy. By using Onimisera, you agree to our data practices as described there.

Third-Party Services

Onimisera may integrate with or link to third-party services. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third party. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms.

Service Availability

We work hard to keep Onimisera available and reliable. However, the Service may be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance or technical issues beyond our control.

We are not liable for any losses caused by service downtime.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if we suspect fraudulent activity.

Disclaimers & Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ONIMISERA WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Onimisera from any claims arising from your use of the Service or your User Content.

By using Onimisera, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.
